Floristry Taster Introduction to Flower Arranging Floristry – Introduction to Flower Arranging This course is for: Anyone wanting to learn a new skill. No prior floristry experience is needed. You will learn: The basic flower arranging techniques to make a simple line design and how to care for your flowers. This course can be completed online at a time and pace to suit you. There are no exams or formal assessments. Work outside of sessions: This is not required, though we hope you will want to put what you have learned into practice. Additional costs and what to prepare: This course is offered free of charge You will need either a smart phone, tablet, laptop or other computer with internet access to take part in this Nearpod session. You will also need a pen and paper so that you can make your own notes. You will require the following equipment/resources for this course: • 5 single flowers of your choice and foliage, they could be out of the garden • Floral foam wet (oasis) will need to soak in water first for about 10 mins • Scissors • Container to put arrangement in. You may wish to wear an apron. How to access your course: You can access this Nearpod session at a time to suit you. An email will be sent within 3 working days with joining details. Progression from this course: You may wish to progress to a 5 or 6 week floristry course, where you will expand on what you have learnt so far.
