DENTAL IMPLANT PRICING & INFORMATION GUIDE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO MAKE AN EDUCATED DECISION ON WHETHER DENTAL IMPLANTS ARE RIGHT FOR YOU Welcome and Congratulations! You’ve made the first step towards a confident, healthier smile! Dental implants have made tremendous improvements since my early involvement in implant dentistry in 1993. I can’t believe it’s been over 25 years! I have chosen to partner with Hybridge dental implants to better serve patients who have either failing teeth or no teeth at all. Due to the technological advances made by Hybridge, getting your smile back is more affordable and achievable than you probably ever imagined! Hybridge is unmatched in terms of quality and value to the patients. After reviewing this guide, you will be ready to take the next step and meet with an implant dentist, and if you will give me the privilege, I will be happy to help. I love to change patients’ lives through my dentistry. One of those patients is Anthony, who is featured on the front page of this guide. Anthony came to me and was embarrassed by the appearance of his front teeth. He would never smile and was self-conscious about having his picture taken. Furthermore, he was frustrated by not being able to eat the foods that he liked – after all, he was Italian and he wanted to eat! A video of his story can be found here. It was my privilege to get to know Anthony and to help change his life through Implant Dentistry. Everything else can be working like clockwork – job situation, family, friends and relationships - but if you can’t experience the simple act of savoring the foods you love most… or if you’re embarrassed to smile or even engage in conversation because of missing or failing teeth... Then no matter how great everything else is going, the real joy you long for is missing. I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to settle for that kind of life any longer. I know this for a fact because I have seen countless individuals who used to suffer from missing, failing teeth, or loose/ill-fitting dentures - now eating and enjoying the very foods they’d thought were lost to them forever. Whether you’re reading this guide for yourself or for a loved one, you’re in the right place. We’ve designed this to provide you with all the necessary information you need to make an educated decision regarding what is best for your overall health and happiness. With all that said, let’s get started. In doing so Hybridge Dental Implant patients experience life changing results. What are Dental Implants? Dental implants are typically made of titanium and are similar in shape and size to a natural tooth root. Titanium is the material of choice for dental implants due to its strength, durability and its ability to fuse to bone over time. Once the implant is fused into the bone, a post, called an abutment, and a crown can be screwed onto the implant. What Hybridge allows us to do is attach up to 12 teeth on 5 or 6 implants on an upper or lower jaw. Dental implants are ideal for patients who have missing or failing teeth due to periodontal disease, decay, injury or for those who have missing teeth or were born without all of their teeth. Implants can be used to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth or an entire upper and/or lower jaw of teeth. WATCH VIDEO Dental Implant Surgery and Bone Grafting Because implants are placed in the upper or lower jaw, it’s important to know where the nerves and sinuses are before placing the dental implants. At your free consultation, we will take a CT scan, which is a 3D image of the teeth and jaw, to find the best bone for your implants. If there is not enough bone available, it may be necessary to add bone grafting material, that will heal and transform into newly grown bone. Dental Implants FAQs Are Dental Implants and Hybridge the same thing? Do I have enough bone? Metal Detectors? What can I eat? Returning to work? More at bit.ly/TCFDPatientEducation Dental Implant Success Rates The success rate of dental implants is greater than 95%. Success is typically defined as a healthy, functioning implant for at least a 10 year period. Implants should be expected to maintain their health and function for many years after that. The Hybridge Dental Implant Hybridge requires that all Hybridge Certified Doctors throughout the country utilize the highest level of quality dental implants for their Hybridge restorations. In addition, by using 5 or 6 implants instead of the 4 implants used by All-On-4, we ensure that the foundation of support for the final Hybridge Full Mouth Bridge is dependable and long lasting. This consistency is one of the hallmarks of the Hybridge brand. Look, Feel, and Function Like Healthy, Natural Teeth The Hybridge Full Arch Dental Implant Bridge replaces all of the teeth on either the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both. Many patients arrive having had their natural teeth already removed, while others are just starting to evaluate alternatives to their natural teeth. If the natural teeth still remain, a thorough exam and consultation with a Hybridge Certified doctor will determine if replacing the natural teeth is an appropriate option. Once the decision has been made to replace all the teeth in one or both jaws, three dental implant treatment alternatives are available. Option #1 Hybridge Zirconia Bridge There have been several significant advancements in dentistry that the dental industry would consider to be game changers. Over a decade ago, Zirconia was introduced to the dental world as a ceramic material intended to be utilized for the fabrication of Zirconia crowns and Zirconia bridges. Zirconia (not to be confused with zircon), is a white crystalline oxide of zirconium. It is a silicate mineral, which is found primarily in Australia and Brazil. Zirconia crystals are compressed into a block, or puck, which has a chalk-like consistency. In this “greenstick” form, Zirconia can be carved and milled into any shape desired. In order to create a structure strong enough to withstand the forces of chewing, the greenstick Zirconia is sintered or baked in a furnace until it transforms into its hardened form. Although Zirconia in its raw form is pure white, it is possible to stain it before sintering to achieve a more tooth-like appearance. Pink porcelains mimic the appearance of gum tissue. To make the smile look completely natural, other types of porcelain are baked over the surface of Zirconia. This can be done since it doesn’t have to be layered over metal. While this layering adds beauty, it also increases chance that the surface may chip over time. Layering also dramatically increases the cost of the restoration so you should be mindful of these considerations if considering Zirconia as your choice of material. Hybridge Zirconia bridge is used in patients who have very strong bites and/or have limited opening. They are also virtually indestructible. Zirconia ranges from $27, 270 - 32,952 or payments starting at $403/month Our bundled pricing includes all necessary scans, extractions, bone grafting, implants, healing dentures and final restorations. Frances H., Hybridge Zirconia Patient Option #2 Hybridge Generation 4 Hybridge Generation 4 is the latest evolution of the Hybridge Implant Bridge available only to dentists certified by the Hybridge Laboratory. Hybridge Generation 4 offers many advantages over previous versions and other competitive dental implant bridges such as All-On-4. Hybridge Generation 4 Implant Bridges are fabricated using three different materials. Generation 4 is built on a cobalt-chrome (CoCr), metal framework that is sculpted to match the natural contours of the missing gum tissue. This makes this bridge feel more realistic to the tongue. CoCr based bridge on 5 or 6 implants is extremely strong and has better flexural strength than titanium based all on fours. The pink part of the bridge is made from IvoBase milled acrylic that is 8 times stronger than conventional acrylic and is stain and bacteria resistant. The Ivoclar teeth are also milled, provide great esthetics and have a softer feel when chewing with no clicking sounds compared to the all Zirconia option. They are also repairable in the mouth and can be upgraded with new teeth as needed every 7-10 years for the cost of about 3 crowns. Approximately 80% of our patients choose this option to get back their smiles. Hybridge Generation 4 ranges from $25,520 - 31,202 or payments starting at $377/month Our bundled pricing includes all necessary scans, extractions, Anthony D., Hybridge Gen 4 Patient bone grafting, implants, healing dentures and final restorations. Option #3 Hybridge Overdentures For patients looking for a better, more comfortable way to wear a lower denture, the implant supported overdenture establishes significant denture stability and retention by snapping the removable denture onto two to four dental implants. An “implant attachment” on the top of the implant is used to create a snapping mechanism, which is strong enough to keep the denture in position during chewing. It also allows for a relatively easy removal of the denture for daily cleaning and maintenance. enough to keep the denture in position during chewing. Advantages: The overdenture attachments keep the denture from pressing down too hard on the gum line, allowing an overdenture wearer to bite on harder foods without the typical discomfort a traditional denture wearer experiences when biting down hard. Most implant overdenture wearers report significant improvement the level of comfort and function that an overdenture provides versus a traditional lower denture. A severe gag reflex can cause serious issues for patients wearing an upper denture. Since the fit of an upper denture is derived from the “suction” effect on the palate, coverage of the palate is a requirement for a good fit. When a patient has a Nancy M., Hybridge Overdenture Patient gag reflex, it is impossible to extend the denture appropriately. In this situation, an implant overdenture can be a significant advantage and a comfortable remedy. With the retention of the denture coming from the snap mechanism of the implant attachments, the palate does not need to be fully covered, and thereby minimizes a patient’s gag reflex. Disadvantages: Implant-supported overdentures can be less than ideal for a patient depending on treatment objectives. When the denture is still removeable and it sits on the gum line, functionality is not what one would expect from dental implant treatment. Compared to a typical denture, overdenture function is an improvement, but significantly less than the functionality of one’s natural teeth. Research indicates that a denture wearer’s function is only at 20% of full function. Overdentures can improve that percentage to 40 to 50% of normal biting force, but this still is well below what many people would expect from permanent tooth replacement using dental implants. Patients looking for the most cost-effective way to avoid the challenges of wearing a denture should consider an Overdenture from their Hybridge doctor since Hybridge doctors are also able to assist with a snap-on dental implant overdenture. Hybridge Overdenture ranges from $18,387 - 24,297 or payments starting at $272/month Our bundled pricing includes all necessary scans, extractions, bone grafting, implants, healing dentures and final restorations. Follow-up and Maintenance Once Hybridge treatment is complete, there are some recommendations that are important to follow in order to guarantee a long-lasting result. Every Hybridge Full Arch comes with a night guard to wear for protection of the new teeth at night. Although most patients deny clenching and grinding their teeth at night, many in fact do so on occasion. The night guard will prevent wear and chipping of the materials due to grinding. There are certain foods that are to be avoided with your new Hybridge restorations. Anything that requires crushing (ice, hard candy, hard nuts), or tearing (tough breads, taffy) should be avoided. With a little common sense, Hybridge Full Arch should be able to provide long-lasting function with minimal maintenance required. Patients should expect some minor repairs and maintenance over the years. This will vary from patient to patient depending on their habits. The Hybridge Full Arch can be resurfaced as needed depending on wear and tear over the years. Check out Margaret’s 5-year Hybridge check in! DENTAL IMPLANT FINANCIAL INFORMATION COST The price of your implants will depend upon a number of factors. • The fee of the implant surgeon can vary by geographic area and experience level of the surgeon. In addition, the type of implant used can affect the fee. Ask what brand implant your surgeon is using. Well-known and proven brands are Nobel Biocare, Zimmer, Biohorizons, and Straumann, to name a few. • The fee of the restorative dentist can vary depending upon their experience and the quality and expertise of the dental laboratory with which they are working. Beware of low-cost alternatives that often use cheaper, foreign laboratories. • The traditional model for implant dentistry in the U.S. has been to have this work done in 2 different offices - one with the surgeon and one with the restoring dentist. This can create miscommunication, inefficiencies, and longer treatment times. Most Hybridge doctors are certified in both surgery and restorative aspects of dental implantology. These doctors often pass on the savings to their patients, which often results in fees that are 10-15% less than the traditional model. FINANCING OPTIONS Most Hybridge dentists offer discounts for payment in full prior to beginning treatment. In addition, financing options of 12-18 months interest-free and/or low monthly payments up to 90 months are sometimes available. We’ll do our best to help explore all of your options and help you achieve your goals to a perfect smile. INSURANCE Parts of your procedure may be covered by insurance, though this varies from plan to plan.
