Folkish Syndicalist Manifesto by Alstūd Overview and Points of Folkish Syndicalism I wrote this manifesto to finally have a coherent and serious catalog of my beliefs, which I have called 'Folkish Syndicalism.' I settled on this name because it is simple, clean, and doesn’t carry any connotations, negative or positive. Its purpose is to encapsulate my two core beliefs in just two words: Nation and People. Marxism has failed in providing the workers with what they want. Nationalism, as evidenced in Europe, has led working-class people to support parties like the AfD, which, despite having questionable economic policies, appeal to their nationalistic sentiments—something the more left- leaning parties have failed to do. On the other hand, capitalism has failed to provide adequate welfare and security for the nation and its people. In America, where capital holds paramount influence, the country faces significant challenges. This issue is not limited to New World countries; even Old World countries, with their well-defined sense of nationhood, have been importing immigrants on a massive scale due to capitalism's globalist nature. This has not only eroded the nation's homogeneity but also led to competition for jobs that would otherwise belong to natural-born citizens. Some argue that this immigration has a positive effect on the economy and is therefore acceptable. However, what value does a thriving economy hold when the very fabric of your nation is at risk of being replaced? This is why the working class is increasingly turning away from left-wing parties. But, what if there were a party that embraced both economic left and social right ideologies? How much popularity could such a party gain? I've recently spoken to people from both the New World and the Old World who have expressed that if their left-leaning parties were to adopt nationalist and potentially conservative positions on social issues, they would be inclined to support such a group. However, Marxists will oppose nationalism and will not compromise on nationalistic or conservative stances. Similarly, capitalists won’t ever prioritize the collective welfare of the nation over their profits. Hence, the need for a third alternative becomes evident: a form of socialism that does not adhere to the Marxist ideology. The most unifying factors that bring people together are nation and religion. However, the Abrahamic religions are foreign to both Europe and the Americas and were imposed centuries ago through what can only be described as genocide. This was accompanied by a brutal inquisition against the native faiths by the Church and the ruling classes. While this campaign nearly wiped out these native faiths, they have not been completely eradicated. ii Folkish Syndicalist Manifesto by Alstūd Overview and Points of Folkish Syndicalism I wrote this manifesto to finally have a coherent and serious catalog of my beliefs, which I have called 'Folkish Syndicalism.' As you can probably tell from the cover, I will advocate for a revival of Paganism, regardless of its specific strain, as a more authentic faith for the peoples of the world. In the words of Karl Otto Paetel on Paganism, 'And if German nationalism has a deep spiritual and religious sense, then it is that of an insurrection of the Germanic way of life.' He recognizes that for a revival of the nation to take place, it must shed foreign influences, no matter how old, and embrace ways of life that truly reflect their roots. Now, for the five points of this ideology; 1. To recognize that the state and people must work as one to protect the nation and maximize happiness. 2. The collective welfare of the nation. 3. To stand against reactionary barbarians and revolting against the current world order. 4. To renew the nations of the world through revolution. 5. Upholding the values of nationalism and religion as important cultural aspects that strengthen communities. These points are to act as the guiding principles of the ideology I will describe in this manifesto, and can be summed up fully in three words; “Fatherland, Faith, and Community”. The Governmental System Imagine, if you will, a state where the people and the government are one and the same. Throughout history, the state is in a perpetual struggle, with either the people repressing the state or the state repressing the people. To resolve this issue, the state's interests must align with those of the people. To achieve this, society must be organized into professional groups, hereafter referred to as 'syndicates,' each dedicated to fulfilling its specific function. Members of these syndicates will be mandated by the state to join interest groups, which will, in turn, participate in national policy-making, following a hierarchical structure that extends to the local level. In practice, this will transform the nation into a functioning organism, with each part, regardless of its size, fulfilling its role for the collective good. iv Folkish Syndicalist Manifesto by Alstūd The government itself should adopt a republican and technocratic system, rejecting monarchism, whether constitutional or otherwise, as a regressive and ineffectual institution. Monarchs historically ruled based on the notion of a 'divine right,' but who granted them this authority? Foreign deities. Therefore, this is a foreign influence on the nation, and must be eradicated. Republicanism offers the best path forward, selecting the most educated and capable individuals for governance, rather than relying on individuals whose sole claim to power is birthright. Regarding constitutional monarchies, they are undeniably even inferior to systems where the monarch holds actual governing authority. In a constitutional monarchy, the monarch and their family serve as a drain on the nation's wealth and resources, providing nothing more than a false sense of 'unity' through antiquated traditions. What purpose does the British Royal Family serve, for example? Recently crowned Charles III held an extravagant coronation, costing nearly $125 million. In 2022, one of the warmest years on record for England, a cold snap and power blackouts during fall and winter left many citizens freezing in their homes, while their king celebrated an event worth more than 99% of their lifetimes. This is an outrage, allowing such an event to occur while the nation suffers. This is why republicanism must be embraced. In terms of organization, a bicameral parliamentary system must be implemented to ensure efficient policy-making. This system comprises two chambers: a lower house and an upper house. The lower house will consist of elected representatives from each syndicate group. The number of elected representatives will be determined based on the size of each syndicate, ensuring equitable representation in the parliament. These representatives will engage in discussions with their colleagues and the members they represent to determine the most effective ways to manage their syndicate's objectives, whether they relate to agriculture, the military, machining, or other areas. Under this system, individuals will no longer vote based on their locality but rather by syndicate and profession. They will choose from a list of fellow syndicate members who have been selected based on their expertise in addressing the challenges of their respective industries. This moves the system away from professional politicians who engage in populist rhetoric to maintain their power and profit from their positions. As for the upper house of the parliament, it will be comprised of heads of ministries appointed by the Leader himself. This ensures both loyalty to the nation's cause and competence in their roles. As for who assumes the position of leader, it must be someone who led the revolution and possesses the determination to establish themselves as the leader. This person should be dedicated and selfless, committed to advancing the nation's interests. I do not advocate for myself to be the leader, as you may v Folkish Syndicalist Manifesto by Alstūd think. I recognize that I am not suited for leading a nation; instead, I aspire to be the spark that ignites the passionate spirit of the nation and brings to light one who can lead, as pretentious as that might sound. As for people who cannot work, they will still be represented in the lower chamber, by syndicates that will advocate for their needs, in line with every other one. Each aspect of society will be covered in the lower chamber by syndicates, from matters of religion to art, and from agriculture to technology. Economics In similar manner to the governmental structure, syndicates shall govern the economy as well. The economy shall be planned centrally by the government, though syndicates will feed information to the government on how to plan and distribute resources. Significant nationalisation will take place, to ensure coordination and planning in all aspects of the economy, and specifically, the means of production shall be stripped from private hands, and given to the syndicates, who on loan from the government own and manage these, nearly a form of worker self management. This is in order to combat both private elements subverting national interests in favor of profit, and to cut down on the alienation one feels from disconnection from their product. One’s basic needs shall be met as long as they work, or have worked, for the nation. As I have harped on capitalism earlier for requiring global trade to function, I shall provide an alternative to this system, and that is national autarky. Each nation should ideally work towards full self-sufficiency, to ensure that they do not become thralls to foreign states. Upon feedback from the syndicates, the government’s main economic priority should be too slowly wean itself off of foreign imports, slowly reducing the number of imports each year until full autarky. On agricultural, I align myself closely with Jorian Jenk’s views on the purpose of agricultural and land, which is that it is one of the most important parts of the nation and must be revitalized. Through strong subsides and the policies mentioned in the last paragraph, the nation’s farms will be remade and reforged into something to look upon with pride. Along with this, the concept of the Land Army by Jenk’s must be embraced, in which the state forms a voluntary force responsible for reclaiming and preparing land for cultivation. Members of the Land Army will then be granted the land for farming, having acquired cultivation skills during reclamation service. vi Folkish Syndicalist Manifesto by Alstūd The Minister of Economy and Corporations and it’s Role The minister of economy and corporations, selected based on skill and appointed for life or until dismissal, will be the head of the economy, developing and implementing economic plans that prioritize the welfare and interests of the nation and its people. This planning would work to ensure economic stability, job creation, and equitable wealth distribution. He would work directly with the syndicates in order to ensure they have the right vision, and delegate plans based on their advice and council, which will travel down the syndical hierarchy all the way down to local syndicates. vii
