A NQF Level 2 Certificate is awarded for successfully fulfilling the requirements of the whole qualification. It has units of competencies describing the skillsets of an assessor and an instructors. These units contain the performance standards for facilitating group and individual learning and assessing competence. TRAINING OUTCOME Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to: Facilitate or deliver training to a group Facilitate individual learning and development Conduct competency based training PRE-REQUISITE Those intending to take this qualification must satisfy the following: Employer’s & supervisor’s endorsement Currently involved in or have some experience in training delivery Possession of TOT certificate or equivalent is an advantage TARGET GROUP This qualification is aimed at those who deliver training and or those who want to pursue a career in training and assessment DELIVERY The qualification will be delivered using competency based training and assessment approaches. it will involve face to face sessions using participatory and experiential learning methods. Learning activities contain simulated or work related tasks to ensure that the competencies gained are practical and immediately applicable. The program duratio is 15 days contact time with a minimum of 1 month workplace assessment. The qualification can be delivered as a whole program or tailored to meet client needs. ASSESSMENT Assessment is evidence based. A portfolio of evidence collected from both the workplace and training room will be used to assess competency. Participants will be required to demonstrate the skills, knowledge and attitudes gained by producing work samples, answering tknowledge based questions or participating in presentations or role-plays. They can liase with the assessor on the method to use and which evidences to collect. Those intending to take this qualification must have a Certificate 2 in Training and Assessment qualification and be currentyl involved n or have experience in training delivery. TARGET GROUP This qualification is aimed at those who are already delivering training and or those who want to pursue a career in training and development. DELIVERY Training will be conducted using competency based training and assessment approaches. Learning activities include workplace related tasks to ensure that the competencies gained are practical and immediately applicable. The qualification can be delivered as a whole program or tailored to meet client needs. The program duration is 20 days contact time and a minimum of 1 momth workplace assessment. Flexible options can be arranged based on agency request. A portolio of evidence both at workplace (community based) and training room shall be collected to validate your competence. You are to liaise with your assessor on the range and type of assessment methods and tools used to assess your competence.
