MAP Resources Content Guidelines We reserve the right to exclude resources that violate these. Let us know if we link to a noncompliant site. Scope These guidelines apply to the resource being evaluated, any social media profiles and websites controlled by the group providing the resource, and staff members of and advisors to that group. Accuracy Information must be accurate and up-to date, particularly on these subjects: ● Minor attractions and minor-attracted people ● Fantasies, fictional content, sex dolls, and other sexual outlets ● Sexual offenses and risk factors for offending ● Paraphilias and paraphilic disorders Treatment and support programs must be based on the latest research. Language Fearmongering and similar tactics may not be used to promote a service. Negative moral judgements may not be applied to unchosen traits and harmless actions. No term for MAPs may be used interchangeably with a term for abusers. Wellbeing Harmful forms of treatment may not be promoted, including any of the following: ● Thought suppression ● Conversion therapy ● Chemical castration Self-acceptance must be promoted or permitted under any treatment or support program. Support groups and helplines must be available in some capacity at all times. Safety Reasonable measures must be taken to protect the privacy or anonymity of users. Support groups must include spaces that are only accessible to members. Support groups may not allow the promotion of pro-contact views in publicly accessible spaces. Peer support groups must be moderated and run by minor-attracted people. Legality The following must be prohibited: ● Illegal content ● Promotion of illegal activity ● Admissions of unadjudicated illegal activity
