Gonçalo Lima Illustration Portfolio My name is Gonçalo Lima, I finished my degree in Communication Design and I am going to a postgraduate in illustra- tion in BAU, Barcelona. I am especially interested in Illustration, photography and areas of design as editorial design. I like to work in group because other people’s vision always help me to achie- ve what I intend to. I like to experiment different languages and try new styles because I am a very curious person who likes to research and explore. In my perspective, illustration can be a way of simplify the reality we live in and, at the same time, a form to make it beautiful and more appealing. No words could be used. The objective was to create a series of illustrations thinking about the possibility that the format offered us. Hand-drawn and scanned. I tried to play with texture and color overlays to create some conceptual compositions and group them together in a zine.
