Madin and Identity Theft "I have never attempted to obtain personal information under false pretenses”, Kent Madin. Though Madin has spent years pretending to be a journalist, the depth of his deception can be measured against the fact that he has created and used dozens of false identities in an effort to obtain confidential information designed to harm his victims. Malevolent in intent, cyber predators rely on their capacity to deceive others. Cyber stealth is the covert method by which internet marauders establish and sustain anonymity while they plan their next assault or research the social profiles of their targets. The goal is to create online profiles and diversionary tactics that remain undetected and untraceable. Ample evidence exists which proves that Kent Madin fits the above description. Yet Madin hasn’t been content with merely inventing identities or embezzling the names of his victims. Identity Theft Genuine journalists respect the rights of others and obey the law. Madin trampled on both concepts when he looted the image of deceased American gospel singer Rosalie Wolff (right). “ That’s me on the right ,” Madin falsely claimed for ten years (2010-2020), while using the copyrighted image as his Twitter ID photo. Raising the Dead Two things happened in 2014. Peter Fitts died. But then in an internet version of a zombie movie, the deceased Peter Fitts created an email account and began sending phishing messages about Madin’s victims. The Peter Fitts email account, Lastfrontier3000@gmail.com , was created on July 21, 2014. The IP address 69.145.84.36 is located in Bozeman, Montana, home of Kent Madin. Antisocial personality disorder, sometimes called sociopathy, is a mental condition in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others. People with antisocial personality disorder tend to antagonize, manipulate and treat others with callous indifference. They show no guilt or remorse for their behaviour. Madin certainly displayed no remorse when he callously took over the identity of Fitts, an international banker who was described in his obituary as being “impeccably honest.” He employed this chicanery to further a campaign of persecution and to deploy damaging information under false pretences. On March 16, 2016 Madin falsely claimed, “ I am not anonymous and I have never attempted to obtain personal information under false pretences .” https://mobile.twitter.com/kmadin The irony of this misleading statement was revealed when Madin used Peter Fitts’ identity to create a fraudulent Twitter account – which was used to spread defamatory information about one of Madin’s victims. But the preface to Peter Fitts internet resurrection occurred on March 16, 2016, when an anonymous message was circulated through the European exploration community. The language used in the email was a perfect linguistic fit for phrases and words published by Madin on his various websites. Anonymous email - "In researching for an article about self-made explorers" Madin Website - "M. S. is a self-made explorer" http://ripleydavenport.net/strandberg.htm Anonymous email - "I have gathered background material" Madin Website - "I have gathered considerable background material" http://ripleydavenport.net/ On April 26, 2016 the victim was alerted to the appearance of "Peter Fitts," who had suddenly appeared as a contributor on Madin's twitter account. The victim responded by saying, "Peter Fitts and Madin are the same. This Fitts started his stuff in February, when Madin started the attack. So they ́re the same and he is using this Fitts to send out the stuff." The victim didn't explain how he knew Fitts was an alias for Madin. But the next day Madin published a link to a twit that appeared on the Peter Fitts twitter account. Upon visiting the twitter page suspicions about Madin being Peter Fitts were reinforced. Peter Fitts described himself as an "Imaginative writer, freelance journalist, columnist, researcher and blogger on adventure and exploration." The language is remarkably similar to how Madin describes himself on Twitter. "Independent Research /Journo." But it was another word, "zika," that was of interest. Madin put a comment about zika on twitter on February 5, 2016. Fitts followed suit a few days later. Then the Fitts twitter account was inspected. It had been created in early February, 2016. Most of the entries were stories that had been carried over from other main stream sources. This was deliberately done so as to provide filler. What was more significant was that the Fitts’ Twitter account also published a series of damaging statements about the European explorer. These statements denounced the explorer’s personal life, an act which Madin had publicly stated he would not do. " Mr. S. has very serious skeletons in his personal closet but I am only interested in whether there are skeletons i.e. fake claims, in his professional closet ." http://ripleydavenport.net/strandberg.htm Madin has always publicly maintained that all of his efforts were on the record and public. But having obtained damaging information about a past problem in the explorer’s private life, Madin could not resist the temptation to publish this discovery. Yet he could not do so in his own name. So evidence suggests that he created a phony Twitter account ostensibly operated by the dead American, Peter Fitts. This person suddenly appeared on the internet out of nowhere, made a few public postings, smeared the European explorer’s reputation, and then disappeared. Yet Madin then used the Fitts’ Twitter postings as "evidence," which he circulated to the victim’s family, friends and professional contacts. It was a sneaky but bold move, because it meant that Madin employed a dead American and then used the deceased party to harm a living victim. Once the damage was done, @FittsPeter was suspended by Twitter in 2016. https://mobile.twitter.com/account/suspended Madin has a reputation for being a sinister figure, one who is infamous for his verbal abuse. Using false identities is a classic sign of a cyber predator. But the theft of Peter Fitts’ identity is an act that was so deceptive and dysfunctional, that it epitomizes the depth to which Madin will go in an effort to harm his victims.
