Ragman Pool Le ague Co de of Conduct This document is intended to protect the League and all Pla yers who play in it. Playing in the Ragman Pool League infers acceptance of the document. Failure to adhere to t he Code of C onduct may result in puniti ve acti ons from v erbal or written notice of infringement to removal and potential barring from the League, in the worst - case scenario Player You will do your utmost to treat opponents, teammates, bar staff, and League staff, with respect You will show up at the scheduled times, or as near as possible with communication when it isn ’ t possible. You will pay your dues and fees on time ( first night you play, or thir d night for spares). You will treat the equip ment well , including no food or drinks around the table, and no off - colour chalk. You will bring any issues as soon as reasonable to the attention of your Captain and/or the Coordinat or, as necessary , and will not allow a bad situation to fester , as that only makes things worse down the road Captain ( you agree to the Player rules + those listed b elow) You will answer an y rules questi ons of your opponents , if asked. ( Referring them to a rule or calling in the Coordinator, if the rule is unclear for anyone, is pe rfect . You are not expected to remember every rule) You will ensure the dues and fees for the team are collected and placed in the envelope, then safely tu cked into the table. Ensure the envelope is not sticking out of the slot , and do not fire it throu gh the hole. You will ensure an y m oney owing is corrected by the next week of play. You will ensure your te am know s when and w here they play, whether you comm unicate it to them weekly, or simply ensure they are all using and comfortable with Compusport and don ’ t nee d reminders. You will manage your team and ensure no one acts against the Code of Conduct, within reason. You are not expected to be the police, but if issues arise on your team, you are responsible for dealing with them and/or informing the Coordinator. Coordinator I will enfor ce the rules whenever doing so is in the interest of the Players and /or the League , especially with the understanding tha t the League exists because of the Players I will answer any call on League night s, or reply to any vo ice mail , email, or te xt, as quickly as possible. I will answer an y call/text /e mail outside of League nights as quickly as reasonable I will adjust the League Rules if either an error is found or a rule is hurting m or e than it is helping. In the case of a large rules - change or rules - break, I will consult with the Captains pr ior to changing the rules, and will inform the League as soon as possible. I will act as arbiter in any rules or other di sputes. If possible, I will offer reason able compromise before punishments in matt ers outside simple rul ings. I will ensure all League fu nds are protected and managed to the highest degree I will ensure League equipment is in good working orde r.
