N - VCPE - R "Non - Verbal Cognitive Performance Examination, Revised " Prepared by: Xavier Jouve, Ph.D. Publication: 2002, Provided courtesy Jouve Testing Indications: The following questionnaire is a psychometric test prepared with 54 numerical sequences that do not required previous specific knowledge. The majority of these sequences only require to be completely filled in and to do so you have to replace each question mark by the correct response. Other sequences also require that you respond as clearly as you can to one or more question concerning your own reasoning or the sequence functioning. When arriving at these sequences, start by reading the sentence(s) below t he sequence. To take the test, you have all the time you want. Remember that the most important is the divergent insight. Take each item in the right order. Do your best to complete the sequence and if required to answer the question before taking the succ eeding item. When the sequence requires more than a single response, be careful to correctly give your answers by order of appearance. If you are really stopped by an item, pass it to retry it later but be in known that the succeeding item will be harder. Work as far as possible and when you think that you could not find any more answers, submit your answers with the button at the end of the questionnaire. Item 54 4220336, 4230236, 6320324, 4320326, ? (54b) Except the first and the second elements, which are correctly loca ted, each element corresponds to a different line of a 4*5 matrice: The first element of this sequence is also the first one of each line and the second element is the second one of the first line (as it has been said above, both are correctly located). Al l the other elements are in the same place as the one they have in their own line, so we could consider that the last four elements (i.e. all except the first) represent a diagonal of a 4*4 matrice. You r work is to find the missing element of the sequence a nd to find the second diagonal sequence of 4 elements.
