Macanese Youth Association (AJM) Language Exchange & Culture Promotion Association (LECPA) Sponsorship : Macao Foundation Objective: This photography contest invites all interested participants and young audiences to capture and celebrate the diversity and beauty of Macau and Hengqin. Contestants are encouraged to explore natural landscapes, urban settings, and the rich cultural interac tion between the two regions. The contest seeks to portray and promote the multiculturalism of Macau’s communities, its historical heritage, traditions, and customs, as well as the rich and varied festivities throughout the year. At the same time, it also invites participants to turn their lenses toward Hengqin, documenting its development process alongside Macau. Categories : Eligible participants are individuals aged 18 or older with an interest in the competition. The Contest is divided into two categories : ► Digital Camera Photography Category : Using handheld cameras or other fixed photographic equipment to capture images. ► Drone Photography Category : Using drones or other aerial photography equipment to capture images. Requirements related to Work: 1. The presented photos must be the latest works , between the period of Septembe r 202 5 and Septembe r 202 6 ; 2. Each participant may only join one category and may submit up to five photos ; 3. All entries must be submitted in digital format as JPEG files, with a resolution of at least 2 megapixels ; 4. T he presented photos must be an original creation , not previously published or awarded , and not submitted before to IIM ; 5. Digital montages or edits that cause excessive or unrealistic alterations to the photographs are prohibited ; 6. T he photo identification format should be : Work No. _ Name of the participant _ Title of work ( F or example : 1_Chan Sio Meng_ I love Maca o ) Deadline: 2 5 Septemb e r 202 6 Forms of delivery : Form 1: Participants can fill in the online registration form and submit their work(s) : Form 2: Participants may also email the required documents listed below to iimacau.photocontest@gmail.com until 25 September 202 6: ► A completed a pplication form (download at IIM website); ► The correctly named works of the contest ; ► A copy of ID card or other identification document ; Form 3 : Participants can deliver the documents listed below in a sealed envelope before 25 September 202 6 , during the International Institute of Macau’ s office hours. The e nvelope must be clearly marked on the outside in English “IIM PHOTOGRAPHY CO NTEST ” : ► A completed a pplication form (download at IIM website) ; ► CD or USB, containing the correctly named works of the contest ; ► A copy of ID card or other identification document Awards: 1. The criteria of evaluation by the nominated panel, for the selection of the award participants, must refer to the articles of this regulation ; 2. The photography’s of the contest will be classified, in each of the categories , if the panel of judges deems appropriate to do so ; 3. Each category will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes and six honorable mentions: ► 1 st prize : Certificate, trophy and amount of MOP5,000.00 ► 2 nd prize : Certificate, trophy and amount of MOP3 , 000 .00 ► 3 rd prize : Certificate, trophy and amount of MOP2 , 000 .00 ► Honorable mentions : Certificate, medals and amount of MOP500 .00 All participants can request a certificate of participation, and certificates will be distributed to all winners. P anel of judges : The panel of judges will be constituted by a minimum of five elements, to be nominated by the organized , c o - organize d and collaborative entities. Contest rules: 1. By participating in the competition, the participants expressly authorize IIM to exhibit their works, as well as to engage in their promotion and reproduction, in editions, publications, exhibitions, posters, internet and other material, and in other materials produced by the IIM. Participants assume responsibility for copyright and other legal obligations, as well as for the image and reputation of the content of the works submitted. 2. After submitting the Application Form, the participant fully agrees to the rules of this contest; 3. The lack of any element or the non - compliance of any of the abovementioned items of this regulation, can cause exclusion of the participant, being final the decision made by the panel of judges Disclosure of the results and award of prizes: 1. Organizing entity will notify the winners by phone or email; 2. The disclosure of the results of the competition and the award of prizes will be made in the last quarter of the year of the competition ; 3. An exhibition shall be made with a selection of the works of the competition, organized by the IIM 4. Winners are required to attend the award ceremony, either personally or by representation, provided that prior notice is given to the IIM.
