Participant Information and Consent Form for Participation in the Online Program Online Program for Promoting Resilience in Adolescents "My Simurg Guide" Dear Participant, We invite you to take part in the above - mentioned online program. Your participation in this online program is voluntary. You may withdraw from the program at any time without providing any reasons. Please provide your consent only if: • You fully understand the nature and process of the online program, • You are willing to agree to participate, and • You are aware of your rights as a participant. 1. What is the purpose of the pilot project "Online Program for Promoting Resilience in Adolescents – My Simurg Guide"? The aim of this pilot project is to help healthy adolescents aged 14 – 18, with or without a migration background, who feel overwhelmed in stressful situations. Through the use of this online program, participants will develop practical skills to manage stre ss effectively and, in the long term, strengthen their resilience. 2. How does the online program work? The pilot project will be conducted at the Medical University of Vienna, at the University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with approximately 25 - 50 participants. The online program consists of six modules in which participants learn various str ess management skills. The program is interactive, allowing participants to communicate once a week in real - time with a counselor via chat, audio, or video sessions. At the start, we will conduct a screening process to determine whether the program is sui table for the participant. The screening will take approximately 10 - 15 minutes. Each module will be completed within one week, and participants will need about 10 – 15 minutes daily to carry out the exercises. 3. What are the benefits of participating in the online program? By participating in the online program, participants will learn how to manage stressful situations appropriately and develop skills to enhance their resilience. 4. Are there any risks associated with participating in the online program? There are no risks associated with participating in the online program. All questionnaires will be completed online via SoSci - Survey using a nickname or number. The data will be stored securely with restricted access and will only be accessible to the project team, ensuring no risk of data disclosure. 5. When can the online program be terminated early? You may withdraw your participation and end the online program at any time without providing any reasons. 6. How will the collected data be used? As part of this pilot project, pseudonymized personal data about you will be collected and processed. Pseudonymized personal data refers to information where all identifiers that could directly trace back to you are either removed, replaced with a code (e.g., a number), or anonymized (e.g., in the case of images). However, despite these measures, there is still a minimal risk of unauthorized re - identification. Access to your pseudonymized personal data will be limited to the study's principal investigator and other staff members at the study center involved in the pilot project. Additionally, authorized and confidentiality - bound representatives from the Medical University of Vienna, as well as national and/or international health authorities and the respective ethics committees, may review the data to ensure the proper conduct of the pilot project, as necessary or required by law. All individuals with access to this data are subject to applicable national data protection regulations and/or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The code that enables the assignment of pseudonymized data to your person will be stored only at your study center. 7. Are there any costs for participants? Is there reimbursement or compensation? There are no additional costs for you to participate in this online program. There is no reimbursement or compensation provided. 8.
