When ‘freedom and democracy’ broke out in East Germany, the Kohleone mob took over and stole my family’s land. By Almuth Hauptmann-Gurski There are many confusing details in this long sorry saga meandering between the old German system of land ownership, the East German communist system to pilfer, and the Western ‘democratic’ system under Helmut Kohl & Co to steal. But in reality it is not that complicated. For decades, the anti-communist Bonn government declared that ownership was sacrosanct and one of the foundations of their rule of law, but when they had the power to steal, they did. Mendacity and dishonesty have moved from Bonn to Berlin. The list of events starts on page 3. 1. People have often looked at me strangely why I have a hatred for Germany, the country of my birth. I would love to sell my right to vote to reverse the Kohleone’s abuse of power, if I could. Abuse of government power does things to people, because corruption is not a victimless crime. I who experienced the evil hand of abuse of government power, lost confidence in the rule of law (access needs big Dollars), in democracy which brings people like Helmut Kohl and François Mitterrand to the top, and even freedom. What can you do with your freedom when you do not have the silverlings. I experienced as a child how narrow life is when money is scarce. 2. There is no difference for me if the evil communists took my land or the democratically elected Western government who had taken over. My turning away from the ‘democracy, freedom, and rules based order’ happened to me under the German Kohl-Regime AFTER reunification. While the constitution says that property must not be confiscated by the state without compensation, they did just that. They make nice looking laws alright, but don’t adhere to them. They wanted to keep the chemical industry jobs in the former East Germany and the French government owned elf Aquitaine to be in that, so the land where the Minol gas stations were was wangled to the French. It was the only asset to sweeten the government owned elf Aquitaine people who changed the companiy’s name to bury their evil deeds. 3. Prenzlauer Promenade 191 in Berlin was our land. It had belonged to my late Grandmother Valeska Gurski and my father Walter Gurski to whom I am both a direct heir. In 1994/95 it was said to be worth between 1.8 and 2.1 million Deutschmarks. When the criminal activity of the Kohl government occurred I could not understand how they could breach the constitution; only when the internet became accessible could one learn how Kohl & Co did a number on us. Initially, i.e. through the steps described, it was about us not being eligible because we did not have 20 million Deutschmarks to invest. But that was just a ploy because when the internet came in, we learned how the French milked the Kohl government and they had no backbone. Kickback possibilities were not sneezed at, either. 4. Obviously, when the government mistreats you, you take them to court, but I could not afford that. Court and attorney costs are measured on the value. My family’s land was too valuable (between 1.8 and 2.1 million Deutschmarks in 1994/95) for me to fund litigation through several courts up to the court for constitutional matters which can strike out the corrupt legislation. Self representation is not allowed and lawyers are not allowed to work on percentages of outcome. Justice in Germany exists only for the well heeled. 5. Deutsche Welle makes much of the fact that Russians can no longer take their case to the European Human Rights Court - but - a higher court is only of use if you can afford the usually several levels of lower courts. 6. It is a serious level of maliciousness what the Kohl-Regime has done “You did not submit a 20 million Deutschmarks investment project for the land therefore you have no rights to the land or compensation.” African circumstances it was called later on. 7. The government gave 50 Billion to the French for a new factory. Sticking to the constitution would have been between 1 and 2 Million Deutschmarks. 8.. To be quite clear: The Kohleone-Regime abused their power to ‘steal’ our land so they could get kickbacks, and concocted a scheme whereby one would have needed to submit a multimillion Deutschmark proposal to get the land back. You cannot fund a proposal when you are not the owner. They could sniff out people through the secret services (a secret service person Holger-Ludwig Pfahls got a million for ...?) who were unable to fund a proposal, and challenge to the new “law” which set aside the constitution and let them seize the land. The US journalist David Brooks said commenting on the Arab Spring “And this time we have no Mitterrand to helpus”. It was an alliance of evildoers to pilfer. 10. Had the German government an honest bone in their system and acted as an honest broker they could have negotiated or awarded us a share in the project according to the land input. My late brother said in 1993 “in Germany the little man walks away empty hended each and every time”. And so it turned out. 11. When freedom and democracy broke out in East Germany, the Kohleone mob took over and stole my family’s land. Years ago I found those odd who talked about ‘system-opponents’. Now they made me one. If you think an election win by the other side would clean up corruption you’d be mistaken, because the two-party-system does not have regeneration DNA. 12, The following paper, which I publish in English and German was compiled in 1996/97 on an old system and remains unchanged. It shows the steps until 1996/97. Germany only knows how to spell greed and lies, but not fairness. I suffer from Hollywood Syndrome, expecting a happy ending. (written November 2022)
