Kabiur Rahman Riyad 2022–2025 I’m a street and lifestyle photographer from Bangladesh. I capture everyday moments, emotions, and details that tell quiet stories about people and places. @ kabiur.riyad kabiur.riyad @ gmail.com PORTFOLIO Other Side of the Road 2024 Within the motions of life and vehicles in a busy Bangladeshi street, a shoe repairman continues his work. Alleyways of Dhaka 2025 Amid the noise and motion of a crowded alley, a father cradles his sleeping daughter — a quiet, tender moment suspended in the chaos. Sparks of Progress 2024 Young workers on the Mawlana Bhashani Bridge weld the future into being, their labor a trail of brilliant sparks connecting two communities. Colors of Work and Nature 2024 A solitary craftsman is at work on a rooftop, framed by the vivid colors of the surrounding plants and a single red flower in the foreground. Above the Horizon 2024 Two workers stand atop the unfinished Mawlana Bhashani Bridge, framed against a vast blue sky. Their stillness contrasts the scale of their labor. Silhouettes of Joy 2024 Children and young people playing football on the dried up riverbed of the Old Teesta river. This photo shows the winning team celebrating. Stillness 2025 "Stillness" presents a solitary white goat, a beacon of light against a deep, dark earth scattered with fallen leaves. The high contrast emphasizes the stark beauty of isolation. A Quiet Gaze 2024 Half-hidden behind wooden forms, the horse’s eye meets the viewer in a moment of stillness. Dawn Companions 2022 Partners in the morning light: a boy and his steadfast horse ready for work by the tranquil water. The Calm of Bramhaputra 2023 In the warm stillness of sunset, the boats rest on the Bramhaputra like thoughts settling after a long day. The Daily Carry 2022 Golden fields stretch to a hazy horizon in Kurigram, where a lone figure carries the harvest, a silent testament to daily toil. Children of Chilmari 2 0 2 5 Chilmari, my hometown, rests on the shifting banks of the Brahmaputra River in northern Bangladesh. It is a place where life is constantly rebuilt after each flood, where poverty and nature shape every breath. Yet even here, childhood finds a way to shine. In these photographs, I try to capture the small truths of that childhood. The boy resting in a drain is not only tired but waiting for something unseen. A girl looks through the bars of a window, caught between safety and curiosity. Another child kneels on the ground, tracing patterns in dust that will soon blow away. Each scene belongs to the rhythm of daily life, fragile yet full of imagination. As the story unfolds, the children begin to move, to create, to play. Chalk lines become roads. A tricycle becomes a world of color and laughter. Shadows of running feet mark the earth like echoes of joy. Poverty is always near, but it never fully owns these moments. Toward the end, the children grow quieter again. A boy sits under a vast sky, looking ahead as if searching for something he cannot name. The final image, beneath a rainbow, is both real and symbolic. It reminds me that childhood, even in hardship, remains a place of wonder and hope. These photographs are not about tragedy. They are about resilience, imagination, and the beauty that survives where so little is certain. Childhood in Chilmari may look different from elsewhere, but its spirit is the same. It is bright, curious, and endlessly alive. 8 images · Series IMAGE 1 OF 8 The Boy in the Drain IMAGE 2 OF 8 Through the Window Bars IMAGE 3 OF 8 Drawing on Dust IMAGE 4 OF 8 Lines on the Road IMAGE 5 OF 8 The Tricycle IMAGE 6 OF 8 Footprints of Play IMAGE 7 OF 8 Intrigued
