This involves people leadership, financial planning including fundraising, internal and external communications and partnerships, effective use of data and in formation, and organisational development. We also provide one - to - one support and advocacy, primarily relating to housing and homelessness. Your role is to oversee the development and delivery of all aspects of the charity. Key responsibilities ● Work with and report to the Board of Directors. ● Develop and maintain key strategic partnerships, including with leading cultural institutions (e.g. HOME, Whitworth Art Gallery, GMCA Culture Partnership) and with the health and social care sector (e.g. VCSE health and wellbeing forums, homelessness partn erships). ● Work closely with the Head of Creative to oversee delivery of creative provision, supporting and guiding staff to develop a high quality programme for participants. ● Lead the staff team, including maintaining responsibility for recruitment, staff development and supervision, enabling the team to deliver high quality support and programmes for participants. ● Responsible for ensuring that organisational change is delivered successfully, with a focus on maintaining a positive culture where staff, volunteers and participants feel heard and involved. ● Financial management, fundraising, budgeting, monitoring and reporting. ● Charity and organisational compliance, including Charity Commission requirements, health and safety, safeguarding, employment and GPDR legislation. Specific d uties Strategy and governance ● Develop, implement and oversee ORM’s vision and strategy in collaboration with the Board of Directors. ● Report directly to the Board of Directors, ensuring timely preparation of Board papers, communicating relevant information between meetings and facilitating the Board’s engagement with ORM and its work. ● Responsibility for the organisational risk register, ensuring mitigating actions are in place and reviewed regularly, reporting updates regularly to the Board of Directors. ● Ensure that staff recruitment, developmen t and organisational culture align with ORM’s objectives and policies, in compliance with applicable regulations, and accord with current best practice. Company Registration: 07073286 / Charity Number: 1146658 Health and s afety ● Ensure the charity has robust and appropriate operational policies and they are updated and adhered to. ● Safeguarding Lead for the o rganisation Financ e and partnerships ● Lead and direct fundraising activity, including working with the staff team to prepare and submit high - quality funding applications ● Manage and sustain relationships with funding partners ● Ensure strong financial management of the charity, including the development and implementation of budgets. ● Ensure high standards of reporting to funders, including supporting ORM staff to write high - quality reports, ensuring all requirements are met and reports are submitted on time. ● Develop and maintain key strategic partnerships, including with leading cultural institutions (e.g. HOME, Whitworth Art Gallery, GMCA Culture Partnership) and with the health and social care sector (e.g. VCSE health and wellbeing forums, homelessness partn erships). Management and leadership ● Working closely with the Head of Creative, oversee delivery of creative provision, supporting and guiding staff to develop high quality programmes for participants. ● Working closely with the Head of Support, Advocacy and Research to ensure we are engaging with people who might benefit from ORM, and people experiencing vulnerability, complex needs or barriers to services are supported and empowered. ● Working closely with the Head of Development and Fundraising to ensure business development and income generation are well planned, linked to strategic objectives and we report as required on impact to commissioners and funding partners. ● Take responsibility for business planning , including tracking KPIs across the charity. ● Ensure the charity’s services and delivery meet the needs of participants, staying attuned to the external environment and developments in the wider sector. ● Ensure staffing structures and ways of working are responsive to emerging needs and staff team are supported to deliver outcomes for participants. P erson s pecification Criteria Essential Desirable Knowledge Knowledge and understanding of the challenges and barriers to accessing services faced by LGBTQ+ people, people who sex work and those experiencing homelessness, often in combination with other needs. X Knowledge and understanding of key national and regional strategy and policy developments related to homelessness, health and sex work. X Knowledge of adult safeguarding procedures. X Knowledge and understanding of the VCSE sector, health and social care support and provision for marginalised communities. X Knowledge and understanding of the arts and funding and partnerships opportunities within the arts sector. X A strong track record of fundraising for either arts and/or or social care provision. X Experience of managing multiple funding streams, working within tight financial parameters, and producing detailed financial budgets. X Experience of leading and developing a team of staff and volunteers. X Experience of overseeing and/or leading arts/creative provision with a particular focus on practice that addresses social and political issues. X Experience of leading arts engagement programmes with people with lived experience. X Experience of safeguarding adults with multiple and complex needs. X Experience of leading person - centred health and social care provision and services for people from marginalised communities. X Skills and qualities Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, with an ability to represent the charity externally and work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
