TEAM RULES AND STANDARDS • Maximum of 10 per team. • The event must take place over the weekend of the 7th and 8th and October 2023, based on your respective time - zone. • Entry is set at $250, which is based on the max team size of 10 individuals paying $25 each. • You pick your method or methods of covering distance – e.g. Walk , Run, Cycle, Swim, Row, Static Machine or Physical Distance. This is not an exhaustive list and feel free to use other methods of non - motorised travel. Check our website or contact us to ask about your chosen method. This could be relevant to adaptive athletes or more specialised sports. • Two or more athletes can be covering the distance at the same time and then add those distances together. This can also be using multiple modes of transport at the same time e.g. one person rowing, one person on a bike, simultaneously. • There will be one team awarded as ‘ Most sponsored team’ - the team that raises the most funds (U4A Team Fundraiser Champions). Based on the most funds raised, which we will judge via our website. Please take some good photos to evidence your team took part in the event. • One team will be awarded ‘ Most combined distance’ travelled in the 48hr window (U4A Fitness Champions 2023). Please see further relevant details below : • You must be able to evidence your distance s uch as via Strava or similar fitness app if it’s a physical distanc e - then submit screensh ot(s). Remember, distances covered by different team members can be added together but we will need multiple screenshots from each individual that participated. • If on a static machine (s) , photograph each contributing distance that you will be adding to your total. You may need to photograph the screen whenever you stop and it’s likely to power down if you want to be safe. Then add together your contributing distances and submit your evidencing photographs and total distance. We will check the images, calcula tions and times taken to ensure legitimacy. We can only include the distances that have been evidenced. We’d also love a team a photo to share on our social media accounts! • Photos/screenshots are to be submitted no later than 48 hours after the event and must be sent to info@unity4animals.com • In the unlikely event of two or more teams covering the exact same distance, the awarding grant will be divided accordingly. • If a shortfall in these standards is revealed, we will update them where necessary. We accept that there is always a chance of inaccuracies, but we encourage all participants to enter into the spirit of the challenge. If an unforeseen scenario arises, our panel of organisers will make the most appropriate decision we can.
