PATHCHOLA TURNS 03 Featuring the activities of 2021, and 2022 M A R C H 2 0 2 2 PATHCHOLA Glimpses from 2021, and 2022 Pathchola is a youth-led non-profit welfare organization dedicated to advancing the rights and livelihoods of minority communities in Bangladesh through ensuring social protection services by ensuring access to comprehensive quality education, financial inclusion, and social justice. Pathchola operates within its strategic plan designed for every two years. The Strategic Plan's principles, activities, and approaches correspond to national priorities for human rights interventions. They are directly linked with the 8th Five-year plan (July 2020- June 2025) of the government of Bangladesh. Pathchola’s activities have significantly contributed to attaining Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly Goals 1,5, 10, 16, and 17. The organization's 3rd Strategic Plan (2022-2023) is also developed to ensure that its program interventions on Employability skills and Education are implemented through one well-equipped development center in Chittagong and four partner CBOs across Chittagong, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Khulna. Human resorces Computer and digital literacy training for 5 persons. Health and hygiene products distribution for 1500 individuals Technical workshop (Tailoring, Beautification, Block & Boutique) and entrepreneurship development, Finance support for 110 persons. Collaborations Blanket distribution ifor 250 minority individuals Soicial skills training program for 506 youth persons Public awareness campaign by Transgender and hijra persons, the campaign travelled 25 square kilometers and created awareness on Covid-19, and Gender equality. Collaborations Leadership, Communication, and Life-skills training for 1211 persons Public awareness camapiagn on Gender equality. Communication training for 50 people living with HIV Need assessment from the beneficiaries. Advocacy with Bangladesh Open University which resulted with a 60% scholarship for transgender and Hijra persons for secondary, Higher secondary, and higher studies. Men's SRHR engagement project for 150 adolescents Beneficiaries The organization has positively impacted 3000 Hijra and Transgender individuals through different capacity development training and emergency aid. The organization raised 34500 euro and supported 1225 transgender and hijra individuals with Cash, Food, and Medical Support, and 6000 pieces of K-95, Surgical, and hand-made cloths mask. Voluntarily facilitated numerous Art therapy, Dance therapy sessions for 550 registered individuals. 2224 registered transgender beneficiaries, 70 registered unpaid volunteers from Transgender communities, and many more non-registered beneficiaries and volunteers. The Pathchola foundation launched the “Boichito platform” to support transgender entrepreneurs in his leadership. Pathchola Secured it's position among top-31 youth led organization in Bangladesh. Pathchola received the Hero award 2021 from Aarvi foundation, associates to LEO Club Pathchola foundation received the "Hero award 2021" in the best organization category from Aarvi Foundation, Dhaka. It also secured its position among the Top 31 organizations among 750 youth-led organizations in Bangladesh. It became one of the winners in 'The Joy Bangla Youth Award (JBYA) 2021 by CRI and Young Bangla in the Social inclusion category for outstanding services and its dedicated efforts towards ensuring Equality and Rights of the transgender communities.
