Hello and welcome to the Third monthly newsletter for Forest Hill Residents! This newsletter has been created for you, the residents, to keep up to date with your local police team and to be made aware of any issues we have dealt with, are dealing with and any other items of interest. If you have some- thing for the newsletter, please contact us and we can add it to the next addition. This will be sent out monthly and will contain Statistics, any advice from Police and any ‘ Good News ’ stories the team can share with you. These will interchange to keep the newsletter light and entertaining aswell as informative and a way to speak directly to you, our residents. More Vehicles Recovered Increased Foot Patrol Ward Panel Details Your Street, Our Beat Reporting Online Notting Hill Carnival 2023 Inside this issue: Vehicle Crime 2 Patrolling 2 Your street 2 Mental Health Help 3 Summer Grief 3 Your Team 3 Get in touch 4 As a team, since April 2023, we have recovered 61 vehicles around Forest Hill, Perry Vale and Crofton Park. We have worked alongside the Ve- hicle recovery teams in order to safely and suc- cessfully find these vehi- cles that have been stolen from all over London, even by being stolen origi- nally from Glasgow. As a team, we are finding a cor- relation between the stolen vehicles and where they are being found. This has been hard work, but with Our Sergeant, Nathan Munday, being the Motor Vehicle Crime Officer for Lewisham, we have the right support and contacts to recover these vehicles. Alongside finding Vehicles, we are finding parts of vehicles including Number Plates and personal items that are being and have been left on parts of the wards. Please contact us and we can arrange a date and time to suit you, to Part of our role as the Safer Neighborhood team is to ensure we are tackling is- sues in the directed area. Foot patrols have increased on the wards, especially in these summer months due to staffing and events around the ward . Police are working hard to attend not only the immediate 999 calls but also calls made on 101. Every 3 months, the panel meets and discuss face to face, issues and problems on the wards that can be solved with The Police Team. These meetings are held at Forest Hill Library. We are always looking for new members whom have issues, want to have a voice in their community and those whom want to make a differ- ence. Our next meeting is September and will be announced on August ’ s newsletter. Please email us expressing your interest in joining, and you will be added to the ward list.
