Court Opinion on the Case of Augsburg-Fugger Untecna Augsburg-Fugger v. Institute of Cellulose SC Case No. 1 1. Introduction The Supreme Court was brought to attention of the ban of Augsburg- Fugger, a nation that had been banned for at least 6 months prior to their resurgence and telegram to myself. They stated, in that telegram: ”Hi! I’m not sure if you remember me, I caused quite a stir like, half a year-ish ago, Before i got indefinitely banned from the IOC for being accused of being an alt. I talked with NAIS yesterday, who said if I wanted to try to be unbanned, I could either talk to you as you are chief justice, or talk on the IOC supreme court region. Since I don’t really know the rules there, I decided to TG you. So, could you tell me just 2 things please? Thanks! 1: Is there any official limit for alt bans? 2: Can I present my case only to you for you to report to the other justices with, or do I have to do it on the Region if I want to get unbanned?” I informed them that the Supreme Court was where they should post their case, which he has since done. As for their first question, it could not be answered. ——————————————————————————————— 2. Case Body Once I told him to place them case in the court, they worked to build a case, and submitted it at 11:05 AM Pacific, stating: ”On request by Untecna, I am here to argue my case for my unbanning from the Institute of Cellulose. I was banned for suspection of being an alt. Frankly, I don’t really know how this works, so pardon any mistakes I might make. I will go through a list of reasons for why I personally think I should be unbanned. Preprint submitted to IOC Government May 12, 2022 1: It has been around half a year since my banning, and I (to my knowl- edge) was never given a formal ban length. The most obvious defense, It has been a very long time. Besides the commitment that I believe a simple alt would never show, I also do not remember being given a length. I assume it was a Permaban, but I don’t know. 2: I did, or tried, most everything asked of me to prove my innocence. I joined the WA, I sent a GHR asking for a list of my alts, as requested by an RO (That request was denied and I was never given such a list). The only thing I don’t recall doing is join a VC to argue my case, for my own privacy. I personally think that if I did everything asked, and am still banned, then there was never a way for me to not get banned, which is unfair. 3: I have insofar been steadfast in my defense, which a simple alt would likely not do. I argued with ROs for weeks, possibly a few months if you include my short unbanning. An alt would not go through with all that work for no reason. 4: I have nothing but good intentions to henceforth follow all rules of the region, and be an upstanding citizen of the IOC. While not a direct defense of myself, I do hope that you’ll trust me when I say I have no ill will to any person in this region, or the region itself. I simply want to have fun. And yes, Maybe it’s a tiny bit of spite, wanting to prove that I was always innocent, but that isn’t harmful. I will try my hardest not to break any rules, I know I caused quite a ruckus last time, Trust me, I felt it too, but I hope you’ll consider my case. I hope this is convincing enough. Thank you.” ——– After reading this, I provided the first response, inquiring on their second point of his case, specifically wanting to know more as to what happened with questioning. I have not reached out for any posts or telegrams exactly, since their account does not contain any supporter ranks, and searching for posts would likely be futile, since it seems not much was mentioned on the RMB of the case. He continued, stating: ”To be fair, I wasn’t asked much, but I feel that’s more because there’s not much you can do to prove that on NS. With the other 2, I joined the WA after either my own hope to prove others or the request of Orange Creek. I do not remember. I was asked by NAIS to send a GHR to the mods, to give me a list of my alts. I did, but they denied it. I believe it was something about Privacy. One of the mods (Maybe KOE?) asked me to join a VC in the discord to prove I was a unique person. I did not do it because of various 2 reasons such as Privacy and a semi-dislike of my voice. Hope this helps.” I asked him if he had a link to the ban statement, where he stated: ”After searching IOC’s RMB, I genuinely do not think there ever was an official ban statement. I was talking, then I was banned, then I came back, then I was banned. I see no ban statement for either. Sorry.” I said I would run a trawl, which I did do. I found no ban statement given out on the RMB. ——————————————————————————————- 3. Case Decision Reviewing the case and the evidence given by the appealant Augsburg, I found that not only did what they say hold up quite well, but they were not given much of a chance, and reviewing their past posts their behavior looked spot on. Therefore, it is my opinion that the appealant, Augsburg-Fugger, be UN- BANNED from the Institute of Cellulose, and may return to it immediately. ——————————————————————————————- 3
