JOB PACK: TRUST & FOUNDATIONS MANAGER ROLE: Trust & Foundation Manager, Full-time* / Permanent SALARY: £32,000-35,000 dependent on experience LOCATION: Empire Fighting Chance’s newly refurbished headquarters, Easton, Bristol REPORTS TO: Head of Fundraising *This is a full-time role based at our Bristol Gym office, and we’re looking for someone who can be fully present and embedded into our day-to-day operations. That said, we’re open to exploring 0.8FTE arrangements for the right candidate - if that would make the role more accessible for you, we’d be happy to discuss it. OVERVIEW: We use the power of boxing to transform young lives. From our gym in Easton, Bristol, we support thousands of young people across the UK who are facing adversity, from school exclusion and mental health challenges to youth violence and poverty. We combine psychologically informed non-contact boxing with intensive personal support to help young people grow in resilience and build a better future. WHO WE SUPPORT: We exist for young people who experience social and economic inequality. Despite the extraordinarily difficult circumstances they can face, we have yet to meet a young person without the potential to build a better future. But many get stuck. We target those who engage in destructive behaviours, such as disruptive behaviour in school, gang membership and substance misuse. We combine non-contact boxing with intensive personal support to help young people grow in resilience and build a better future. We are growing fast, and we’re building a new fundraising team to match our ambition. Empire Fighting Chance is a charity (1156690) and a company limited by guarantee (08752389) registered in England and Wales. WHO WE ARE: Empire Fighting Chance is a leading sport for development charity that was born on Bristol's streets to fight the destructive impact of inequality on the lives of young people. We use the power of boxing to give young people knocked down by life a fighting chance to rise up and realise their unique potential. Our model features a powerful fusion of boxing and psychology, delivered by coaches and therapists that young people can trust, in a place where they feel safe, cared for and understood. We take our evidence and experience to policy arenas, so we can advocate for action on youth poverty and mental health. OUR IMPACT: We reach over 10,000 young people each year across the UK. Our work unlocks young people's resilience to overcome their challenging life experiences. Young people develop two superpowers so they can move forward with their lives – self-belief and emotional awareness. Young people harness these to improve their mental health, reduce their involvement in destructive behaviours, engage better with education and progress into employment. AND WE’RE GROWING!: Empire is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation. Empire Fighting Chance is a charity (1156690) and a company limited by guarantee (08752389) registered in England and Wales. Empire has been there for my son and family through the worst year of our lives. My son started the programme avoiding school, with a diagnosis of anxiety, and was very low in mood. He was hanging around with some kids I was concerned about. I felt so afraid for him. Boxing and (coach) Marcus gave him self-belief and hope. He now believes he holds power over his future. His school attendance is now 96% and he has started to try and enjoy his classes. Please always remember what you mean to us. We will never forget you.
