CRUMBS Truly it is a day to be thankful for, It is because the daughter that you adore, Is now happy and well, Released from the demons sent from hell, To destroy the daughter that you love, Saved by a god who resides in heaven above, Oh mother dear oh mother dear, Tell me what I truly want to hear, All about the journey, That you took to save me, Don't leave out any word, Especially if it's about the great lord, Who with just the sound of his voice, Gave you a reason to rejoice, Well my daughter Dear listen to this story, And may it be for god's Glory, You might not know it but you were very ill, Because the demon had control of your will, He would toss you about, And cause you to scream and shout, Such horrible things, That would make our ears ring, I could not bear to see you that way, So I went on a journey far away, From the grecian island we lived on, To the very shores of sidon, Where a great healer of renown, Could be found, After many days of searching, On the shores of Tyre I found him preaching, He was surrounded by many people, Most of them were sick, blind, or cripple, And with just a touch of his hand, He healed every man and woman, I wanted to speak to him in the worst way, So I followed him to the house were that night he stayed, And forced myself through the crowd that was there, I raised my voice so he could hear, He seemed to ignore me, Like I was someone he did not want to see, But after a struggle I reached where he had taken a seat, That is where I fell to my knees at his feet, And begged him for his mercy, That is when he finally looked at me, As I looked into his eyes, I could see for his age he was very wise, And when he spoke to me, It seemed with just the words from all my worries he could set me free, But I found out that it was not going to be easy, After I told him about you, He told me there was nothing he could do, Although he wanted to show be mercy, It was not up to him or to me, For he must do the will of the father, And heal his children and no other, When he told me this it felt like a fiery dart, Had embedded itself in my heart, I could've shown anger to this man, But instead I held out my open hands, And with a voice that was humble, I spoke softly to him in front of his disciples, Even the dogs are able, To eat the crumbs that fall from the masters table, Hearing these words for moment he look toward heaven, As if he was asking a question, Then after a moment or two, He said what you say is true, Not only that but when you had a right to be angry, You showed how humble you could be, And because of that the heavenly father, Has healed your daughter, The demon no longer resides within, And will not come again, So go home to your daughter, And be thankful to the heavenly father, That showed mercy to you, When he didn't have to, Well I headed home believing what he said, And when I got home I found you lying on the bed, Free of the devil, That caused you so much evil, That is why we have only one god we send the praise to for the rest of our days,
