This is a myth. *It is absolutely safe to have sex during pregnancy *. Sex does not hurt the baby or bring about miscarriage or early labour in a normal pregnancy. Placenta is low lying C. You are at risk of having preterm baby D. You have your water bag leaking Your baby will come when your body is prepared to deliver the baby. *Having Sex does not bring about contractions*. Yes , if you do have sex near delivery date , it may cause hardening of your uterus called Braxt on Hicks contractions. In case you are anyway about to go into labour , sex may accelerate it. There may be a lot of changes in your sexual desire during pregnancy Some women enjoy sex while some do not feel the desire. *It is wrong to think that having sexual desire or pleasure is unhealthy or unholy*. *Any position that is comfortable to the couple can be tried* Having the male partner on the top may be uncomfortable due to the bump.
