About Tandem Research Tandem Research is an independent research collective that generates policy insights at the interface of technology, society, and sustainability. We believe that evidence - based policy alongside broad - based public engagement must steer technology and sustainability trajec tories. Job Type : Full time, Fixed term, 12 months, renewable Reports to: Tandem Director, Urvashi Aneja Location: Aldona, Goa ; Remote working possible We are looking for senior researches for our research tracks on: 1. Digital Rights: This track will explore feminist frameworks for Digital Rights in India. 2. Big Tech: This track will explore the policies needed to align the market and civic power of Big Tech with individual rights and healthy markets. 3. Public Tech : This track will ex plore emerging digital platforms for development in India, and how they can be governed to promote community rights and wellbeing. Primary responsibilities include: • Steering research on specific track, including project management, proposal developmen t, and developing research methodology • Developing written outputs from research initiatives, including reports, academic articles, media pieces and explainers. • Inputting into relevant policy consultations at national and global levels • Assisting with organisational events and actively participating in external events • Supporting organizational grant development and collaboration and M&E activities of projects. • Closely tracking and monitoring global and regional developments that have a bearing on the relevant tr ack Qualifications and Experience Required (E: Essential ; HD: Desirable) • Ph.D./Master’s Degree relevant for the specific track. (E) • 4+ years of demonstrable research experience. (E) • Excellent analytical, writing , and communication skills ( E) • Experience in producing briefing papers and funding proposals ( E ) • Strong project management and organisational ski lls (HD) • Strong problem - solving, analytical , and multi - tasking skills ( E ) • Strong interest and familiarity with technology policy in India (E) • Proactive, collaborative , and able to work independently ( HD) Re m un eration Remuneration at Tandem Research is competitive to industry standard and will be commensurate with prior experience and qualifications Application Process Applications will be considered o n a rolling basis, until the position is filled.
