Archway Publishing rev. date: 08/19/2026 A N O T E O N S C I E N C E A N D F I C T I O N – v – Dark matter remains unsolved. The 23.0% figure is an internal checklist score, not a probability, confidence level, discovery claim, or share of Nature solved. MERP remains bounded and unvalidated; P1-SCSR-R1 remains proposed; TMD-FR1 remains a proposed, nonunique diagnostic. The Divit Model report at the end of Appendix: The Files records three related benchmarks—DM-TL1, DM-K2, and DM-K3—with separate assumptions and open connections. Their conditional mathematics, numerical checks, and calibrated abundance do not identify dark matter. W3 is a separate comparator. No candidate-specific protected observational test, independent empirical replication, or field uptake is documented. The MSGUA completion, ASTER FIFTEEN test, outcome, and fictional replication depicted in the story are not empirical tests of the Divit Model. The rap battle governs departure only. Big G, family, love, music, beauty, portals, fame, and alternate realities do not establish scientific truth. Nah. You ain’t. And that ain’t disrespect. That’s just the truth most people too scared to say out loud. You picked up a book called Dark Matters So you probably think you know what the invisible thing is. You don t. ' Neither does Nelson. That part matters. Matter of fact, if somebody tells you they already know exactly what the invisible thing is before they show you how they know? Hold onto your wallet. And your God. People like stealing both. See, everybody wants an answer. Fast. Clean. Something you can print on a shirt. Something that fits on a hat. Something the whole crowd can yell at the same time. Something old enough to feel safe. Something simple enough that nobody has to ask who got hurt making it simple. That s how people get caught. ' Not because they stupid. Because they scared. Fear loves a shortcut. Fear loves a crown. Fear loves yesterday. Fear loves somebody standing on a stage saying: I know what went wrong. I know who did it. I know what we gotta go back to. I know who belongs. I know who don t. ' I know what God wants. That s a lot of knowing. ' – x – Funny thing about knowing that much? Usually ain t much room left for looking. ' And this book? This motherfucker looks. Sometimes too long. Sometimes in the wrong direction. Sometimes Nelson looks at something until the thing probably wants to file a restraining order. But he looks. And when he thinks he found something? I hit it. That s my job. ' He builds. I swing. He says: Maybe this. I say: Why? He says: Look at the pattern. I say: What else makes the pattern? He says: Look how beautiful the equation is. I say: Don t give a fuck. ' Does it work? He says: It fits. I say: What did you choose after you already saw the fit? Then he gets irritated. Good. I don t work for his feelings. ' I don t work for his theory either. ' Neither does Nature. That s probably the first thing you need to understand before Chapter One. ' Everybody in this book got a job. Nelson builds. Jafar records. Ánima protects the person from getting erased by the claim. Wovoka sees thresholds. Big G... – xi – Well. Big G does whatever the fuck Big G does. And me? I attack the favorite. Especially when I like it. Especially when Nelson likes it. Especially when everybody in the room already started clapping. Because applause is dangerous. Crowds are dangerous. Not evil. Dangerous. There s a difference. ' One person can be wrong. A thousand people can be wrong louder. Put matching clothes on them and now wrong got merchandise. Give wrong a slogan and now it got rhythm. Give wrong nostalgia and now it got a childhood. Put God behind it? Now wrong thinks it got permission. That s when somebody needs to walk into the room and say: ' Nah. Show me. Not the flag. Not the crown. Not the crowd. Not the memory of some year you swear everything made sense. Show me the thing. What stays when the costume comes off? Remember that question. You re gonna need it. ' Actually... Write this shit down. What stays when the costume comes off? First clue. You looking for Dark Matter? Good. Then stop staring only at what you can see. Look at what the visible thing does. Something is pulling. Something is shaping. Something is changing motion. You don t get to name it just because you saw the shadow. ' A shadow tells you something is there. – xii – It does not automatically tell you what made it. Second clue. Do not confuse the shadow with the hand. Now let s make it harder. ' Suppose you got two explanations. Both make the same curve. Both predict the same visible thing. One got Nelson s name on it. ' One don t. ' Which one wins? Neither. Not yet. If two different machines make the same shadow, then the shadow ain t enough. ' You need another test. Something where the machines disagree. Third clue. Find where the answers stop looking alike. That s where science gets interesting. ' People too. Two people can say love. Mean different shit. Two people can say freedom. Mean different shit. Two people can say God. Now you really in trouble. Same word. Different machinery underneath. So define your words. Don t let one word do four jobs because everybody too tired to ask what anybody ' means. Fourth clue. Name the thing before you measure the thing. And once you name it? Lock the name. Not forever. Listen carefully. I didn t say forever. ' Lock what you meant before the result. Because after the result? Everybody becomes a fucking genius. You ever watch somebody make a prediction after something already happened? Amazing accuracy. – xiii – Perfect. Hundred percent. Should put that motherfucker on television. But that ain t prediction. ' That s memory wearing a lab coat. ' So write the rule. Write what kills the rule. Write what counts as failure. Then close the notebook. Run the test. Fifth clue. The answer does not get to rewrite the question. You still with me? Good. Because now we gotta talk about invisible accounting. Everything costs something. You move energy? Where from? You move mass? Where from? You restore something? What paid? You make one thing hotter? What got colder? You make a perfect palace? Whose faucet stopped working after midnight? Don t show me a miracle. ' Show me the receipt. Sixth clue. Follow what cannot disappear just because the story changed camera angles. This applies outside science too. Power loves moving the receipt. Fear loves moving the receipt. People do ugly shit and then put the cost somewhere far enough away that they can call the result clean. Somebody else carries it. Somebody else loses the water. Somebody else loses the name. Somebody else loses the vote. Somebody else becomes the stranger. Somebody else becomes the problem. Then the person standing under the bright lights says: Look how beautiful everything is. – xiv – Nah. Turn around. Look behind the stage. See who carrying the weight. That s not politics. ' That s accounting. ' If you heard politics anyway? Interesting. Keep that to yourself for a minute. We got more work. Now perturb it. Yeah. I said perturb. Fancy word for: Fuck with it. Push it. Shake it. Take something away. Make the easy condition harder. If the thing only survives while nobody touches it? It ain t stable. ' It s posing. ' Seventh clue. Still is not the same thing as strong. Then strip it. Take away the mechanism Nelson loves most. Run it again. Take away the shiny explanation. Run it again. Take away the person who knows where the answer is supposed to appear. Run it again. Different machine. Different room. Different people. Same prediction. Still there? Now I m listening. ' Eighth clue. What survives losing its storyteller? That one matters more than you probably think. Because people love storytellers. A good storyteller can make fear sound holy. – xv – Can make domination sound like restoration. Can make yesterday sound like destiny. Can make somebody else s freedom sound like something stolen from you. ' Can make a wound feel like a crown. Can make a crown feel like evidence. Don t blame the story for being powerful. ' Ask whether the thing underneath it survives when the microphone turns off. That s what this whole book keeps doing. ' To Nelson. To science. To love. To God. To me. Especially to me. You think I m exempt because I talk good? ' Fuck no. Attack my words too. That s the deal. ' Big G don t need weak believers. ' Truth don t need scared defenders. ' And a real answer don t need you protecting it from questions. ' Ninth clue. If questioning it destroys it, questioning wasn t the problem. ' Now we re almost somewhere. ' Not the answer. Somewhere. That s different. ' You got the thing defined. You locked the claim. You declared the boundaries. You followed the cost. You watched the movement. You found where competing explanations diverge. You attacked the favorite. You froze what it predicted before looking. Now what? Do it again. No Nelson. No mYdiss. No crown. No realm. No choir. No God standing in the laboratory making everybody nervous. – xvi – Different hands. Different room. Same procedure. If the result only exists while the creator is touching it? You got a performance. Maybe a beautiful one. Still a performance. Tenth clue. The answer has to survive the person who wants credit for finding it. Put those clues together. Don t ask me what they spell. ' Not yet. You came here to read a novel. So read the motherfucker. There s twenty-four chapters. ' Twenty-two doors. A basement. A mask. A woman who refuses to become somebody else s symbol. ' A God who refuses to become somebody else s evidence. ' A portal administrator who keeps getting injured because apparently workers ' compensation doesn t cover omnirealmtiversal travel. ' A poet who knows mystery ain t proof. ' A singer who knows personhood ain t metadata. ' And a stubborn asshole named Nelson who keeps building things faster than his confidence deserves. Then there s me. ' Watching him. Waiting for the sentence that sounds a little too good. That s usually where I start swinging. ' But there s another half to this. ' Music. This book and the Dark Matters album were built together. Not adapted from one another. Not a soundtrack pasted onto a finished story. Together. Two constructions. Same journey. Different evidence. Different hiding places. Different riddles. You can read this entire book without playing one song. Seriously. – xvii – Nobody s gonna jump out in Chapter Seven and tell you: ' STOP READING. SCAN THIS FUCKING QR CODE. The story stands. The album stands. They don t need each other to function. ' But they know each other. That s different. ' The book hides things the music doesn t. ' The music hides things the book doesn t. ' Sometimes they point at the same door from opposite sides. Sometimes one tells you where to look and the other tells you what not to trust. Sometimes a song knows something the chapter refuses to say. Sometimes the chapter corrects something the song lets you feel. And somewhere inside that disagreement? There s information. ' That s why I m about to do something we re only doing once. ' ' ' One time. Right here. After this, we leave you the fuck alone. No salesman popping out between chapters. No author begging you to stream shit. No Almighty God interrupting Chapter Twelve like: Hey, before you continue, smash that follow button. No. This is the one break. The fourth wall. Although Nelson called it the third wall earlier. I thought about correcting him. Then Big G said: I built the room. I decide how many walls it got. Fair enough. So call this the wall. And I m touching it once. ' Before you begin Chapter One, there is a track called: BIG G S FOREWORD ' That s all I m telling you. ' ' You do not have to hear it. The book will not punish you. The plot will not become confusing. Nobody is withholding a chapter. Think of it like somebody putting a sealed envelope beside the book. You can open it. – xviii – Or don t. ' Your choice. But if you came here because you like riddles... If you came here because you wanna know what the fuck Big G was trying to say before Nelson entered that basement... If you noticed me talking about crowns, fear, nostalgia, slogans, ownership, God, crowds, yesterday, permission, and people who get real comfortable deciding who belongs underneath them... You might wanna hear the track. I m not explaining that sentence. ' Not here. That s what the envelope is for. ' And if you open it? Listen all the way through before you decide what you think about it. You might love it. You might hate it. You might laugh. You might get pissed off. You might say: What the fuck is this mYdiss guy talking about? Good. At least now the reaction belongs to something you actually heard. Not a title somebody waved in front of you before you walked through the door. That s important. ' Judge the thing. Not the warning label somebody else put on it. Hell... That might be another clue. Now put the headphones down. Or put them on. I ain t your father. ' And Big G ain t asking me to force you. ' He gave you a choice. That s kind of His thing in this book. ' When you re done... ' Or if you skip it... Come back here. Open Chapter One. Then start watching. Every time somebody says: This is the answer. Ask: What else could make the shadow? Every time somebody says: – xix – This is what the word means. Ask: In what domain? Every time somebody says: It works. Ask: What happens when you push it? Every time somebody says: Nothing was lost. Ask: Who paid? Every time somebody says: We predicted it. Ask: When did you write that down? Every time somebody says: Everybody agrees. Ask: Who wasn t in the room? ' Every time somebody says: God is on our side. Ask: Who handed them the deed? And every time Nelson says: I love this one. Look at me. Because I m probably already reaching for the hammer. ' That s the riddle. ' Not one equation. Not one secret word. Not one magical particle hiding in a chorus waiting for somebody smart enough to underline it. A sequence. A cage. A way of forcing whatever the invisible thing actually is to stop hiding behind explanations that can imitate it. If humanity ever solves Dark Matter for real, it won t be because a novel declared ' victory. It will be because Nature ran out of honest ways to say no. That s the line. ' That s what Nelson is chasing. ' That s what I m testing. ' ' And that s why Big G lets the work continue even when He could end the ' argument Himself.
