I personally think what keeps people from getting started is the same reason it took me some time to complete this book , to be not found believing that HE who has started the good will shall complete it . START WITH GOD. Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life ,Titus 3:7 What is is that you need? Write it down and present it to GOD as it is and because he is love, he will reply with love towards your dream and plan, it truly begins with prayer before you start ,pray because GOD answers prayer. “In the beginning, God...” — Genesis 1:1 All faith that endures, all belief that transforms, and all hope that overcomes does not find its origin in human resolve, but in divine initiative. Before there was a word of promise to believe, there was a God who spoke. Before there was a miracle to witness, there was a Creator who established the laws of nature. Before there was a cross to cling to, there was a Savior who planned redemption from the foundation of the world. Therefore, the first principle of true faith is not how much we believe, but in whom our belief is anchored. To start with God is to begin at the only beginning that matters—the eternal, self-existent, covenant-keeping I AM. The Scriptures declare plainly: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6) . Note the order: first, belief that He is—His existence, His sovereignty, His nature. Second, belief that He rewards—His character, His goodness, His faithfulness. Faith does not begin with our need; it begins with His being. It does not start with our request; it starts with His righteousness. You cannot build a lasting faith upon the foundation of your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Human understanding is finite, shaped by circumstance, emotion, and limited perspective. To lean upon it is to build on shifting sand. But to start with God is to build upon the Rock of Ages, whose ways and thoughts are as high above ours as the heavens are above the earth (Isaiah 55:9). When we acknowledge Him first—His lordship, His wisdom, His sovereignty—we align our path with His eternal purpose, and our faith finds a footing that cannot be shaken. Consider the heavens, the work of His fingers. David writes in Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.” The created order is God’s first and most universal revelation of Himself. It speaks daily of His power, precision, and beauty. Faith that starts with God looks up and recognizes: The One who hung the stars in place, who tells the waves how far they may come, is the same One who holds my life. This corrects our perspective. Our problems, though real and weighty, are not larger than the God who measures the waters in the hollow of His hand (Isaiah 40:12). Starting with God means starting with the scale of eternity, not the urgency of the moment. He has revealed Himself in His Word. While creation shows us that God is and how powerful He is, it is in Scripture that He reveals who He is and what His will entails. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17) . Therefore, to cultivate a faith that starts with God, we must be rooted in His self-revelation. We do not get to define God by our preferences; we must discover Him through His declarations. He is holy (Isaiah 6:3), just (Deuteronomy 32:4), merciful (Psalm 103:8-10) , loving (1 John 4:8), and faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9). When we start our every thought, prayer, and decision with this God—the God of the Bible—our faith rests on truth, not sentiment. He has demonstrated His heart in His Son. The ultimate revelation of God’s nature and His commitment to us is found in Jesus Christ. “He who has seen Me has seen the Father,” Jesus told Philip (John 14:9). To start with God is to start at the cross— the definitive proof that God is for us (Romans 8:31) . It is the unshakable evidence that His love is sacrificial, His grace is boundless, and His power is perfected in weakness. Whatever circumstance challenges your faith today, begin at Calvary. See the lengths to which God has already gone. If He did not spare His own Son, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32). The cross is the guarantee that His intentions toward you are irrevocably good. Therefore, starting with God requires a surrender of the “why.” Job, in his profound suffering, cried out for an audience with God. He demanded an explanation. When God finally answered, He did not give Job a reason for his pain. Instead, He revealed His majesty, His wisdom, and His sovereign care over creation (Job 38-41) . God’s response essentially was: Start with Me. My ways are beyond your tracing out. Job’s faith was restored not when he understood his suffering, but when he encountered his God: “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes” (Job 42:5-6 ). True faith often means exchanging our demand for answers for a trust in the Answerer. Practical Faith: The Daily Realignment How do we practice starting with God? In Prayer: Begin not with your petitions, but with His person. Adore Him for who He is. Thank Him for what He has done. As the Lord’s Prayer models: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done...” (Matthew 6:9-10) . His name, His kingdom, His will come first. In Crisis: When fear strikes, declare His attributes before you state your anxiety. “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust” (Psalm 91:2). Name His faithfulness from Scripture before you name your problem. In Decision-Making: Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Ask, “What aligns with Your character and Your revealed will?” not merely, “What seems best to me?” In Worship: Lift your eyes from your situation to your Savior. Worship is the act of starting with God—of giving Him worth-ship regardless of circumstance. The Blessing of the God-Centered Life When we make the conscious, daily choice to start with God, a profound shift occurs. Our faith is no longer a fragile thing tossed by the winds of outcome, but an anchor secured in the harbor of His nature. We move from believing for something to believing in Someone. The pressure to “manufacture” enough faith dissipates, replaced by the restful assurance that comes from leaning on One who is infinitely strong and eternally trustworthy. This is the faith that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4). It is the faith that stood in the fiery furnace and declared, “Our God is able.” It is the faith that faced a giant with a sling and proclaimed, “The battle is the Lord’s.” It is the faith that sang at midnight in a prison cell. In every case, the victory was secured not by the volume of the believer’s conviction, but by the unchanging character of the God they served. Let this be the foundation of your every tomorrow: Before the dawn breaks, He is God. Before the prayer is uttered, He is listening. Before the need arises, He is providing. Before the battle begins, He is victorious. Start there. CHAPTER TWO PRAYER AS THE KEY WHY PRAY. The only great reason why prayer exists is because GOD answers prayer. When you look into the word of GOD you will realise one common thing about every individual that was being used by the holy spirit ,they all prayed , Joseph prayed ,father Moses prayed when he realised that he was chosen for a greater destiny ,Apostle paul prayed and even our father Lord Jesus prayed Christ prayed to GOD. Now in the morning having risen a long while before daylight ,he went out and departed to a solitary place and he prayed Mark "1:13 Jesus understood that was the messiah carrying the annointing of the holy spirit and knew he was without sin , being conscious of who GOD our father is , all the knowledge he had about the kingdom of GOD and who he was did not stop him from praying,this really informs us about the power and importance of prayer. There are a lot of things that I prayed for when I was still very young,and lived to experience our fatheer answer my prayers , I believe that GOD in the heavens created prayer because he wanted us to have an itimate relationship with him. FOUND IN FAITH THROUGH BELIEVING IN YOUR PRAYERS Faith is not just about speaking words. Faith is about believing that God hears you when you pray. Many people pray every day, but deep inside, they are not sure if their prayers matter. Being found in faith means trusting God even when you cannot see the answer yet. Prayer is a conversation with God. It is not about perfect words or long speeches. God looks at the heart. When you pray with belief, you are showing God that you trust Him with your life, your problems, and your future. The Bible reminds us of this truth: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” — Hebrews 11:1 Faith begins where sight ends. You may not see the answer today, but faith believes that God is already at work. Believing When You Pray Many prayers fail not because God cannot answer, but because we stop believing too soon. Sometimes we pray once, and when nothing changes, we give up. But faith teaches us to stand firm. Jesus spoke clearly about believing in prayer: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” — Mark 11:24 Believing does not mean forcing God to do what we want. It means trusting that God knows what is best. When you pray with faith, you release control and allow God to lead. Faith Grows in Waiting Waiting is not easy. Waiting can make you feel forgotten. But waiting is often where faith grows the most. While you wait, God is shaping your heart, strengthening your character, and preparing you for what is coming. The Bible says: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31 t The Bible says: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31 If you are waiting for an answer, do not lose heart. Waiting does not mean God has said no. Sometimes it means God is saying, “Trust Me.” Praying With a Faith-Filled Heart Faith-filled prayer comes from a heart that trusts God fully. It is praying even when fear tries to take over. It is choosing faith instead of doubt. When doubt comes, remind yourself of God’s promises: “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” — Psalm 145:18 God is close to you when you pray. You are not alone. Your prayers are not wasted. Every prayer reaches heaven. Living as Someone Found in Faith Being found in faith means living with confidence in God’s love and power. It means choosing prayer instead of panic. It means trusting God’s timing instead of rushing ahead. Faith shows itself in how you live, how you speak, and how you treat others. The fruit of faith becomes visible in your life, just as Scripture says: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” — Galatians 5:22–23 When you believe in your prayers, your life begins to reflect God’s peace. You become calm in storms and hopeful in hard times. A Prayer of Faith Lord, I choose to trust You. Even when I do not understand, I believe You are working for my good. Help me to pray with faith, to wait with patience, and to live with confidence in Your promises. Amen. t WALKING DAILY IN FAITH THROUGH PRAYER Faith is not only for hard times. Faith is a daily walk. When you are found in faith, prayer becomes part of your everyday life, not just something you do when things go wrong. You talk to God in the morning, during the day, and at night. You invite Him into every moment. The Bible encourages us: “Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 This does not mean praying all day with your eyes closed. It means keeping your heart open to God. It means trusting Him in every decision, big or small. Faith Over Fear Fear is one of the biggest enemies of faith. Fear tells you that your prayers will not work. Fear tells you that things will never change. But faith speaks louder than fear when you choose to trust God. God reminds us: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 When fear rises, prayer brings peace. When fear knocks, faith answers. You may feel afraid, but you do not have to live in fear. Faith gives you strength to move forward. Trusting God’s Answer Sometimes God answers prayers quickly. Other times, His answer comes slowly. And sometimes, His answer looks different from what we expected. Being found in faith means trusting God’s answer, even when it is not what you hoped for. The Bible says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 God sees the full picture. He knows what you need more than you do. Faith is choosing to trust His wisdom over your feelings. FAITH IS BUILT THROUGH GOD’S WORD Faith grows when you spend time in God’s Word. The more you read Scripture, the more your trust in God becomes strong. The Bible reminds us: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17 When you feel weak in faith, open the Bible. Let God’s promises remind you of who He is. Let His Word fill your heart with hope again. When Prayers Feel Unanswered There may be times when you pray and hear nothing. These moments can feel lonely and confusing. But silence does not mean absence. God is still with you. The Psalmist says: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” — Psalm 23:4 FAITH HOLDS ON EVEN IN SILENCE. FAITH TRUSTS GOD EVEN WHEN THERE ARE NO SIGNS YET. Living as a Testimony of Faith When you continue to believe in your prayers, your life becomes a testimony. Others will see your peace. They will notice your hope. They will ask how you stay strong, and you will be able to say, “I trust God.” Jesus said: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16 Your faith can encourage someone else who is struggling. Closing Reflection Being found in faith is a journey . Some days your faith will feel strong, and other days it may feel small. But even small faith matters to God. Jesus said: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move,’ and it will move.” — Matthew 17:20 Hold on to your faith. Keep praying. Keep believing. God is faithful, and He will never leave you.
