Claim Reason for claim: 3.1. For failing to complete the agreed installation of a garden gate at my property. Despite multiple scheduled visits, the work remains unfinished and the quality of the work performed is so poor (independently reviewed) that it now needs starting again from scratch, so I'm in a worse position than before Gavin was hired. Additionally, Gavin's behaviour throughout the project has been unprofessional and hostile, causing significant distress and inconvenience to my household. Specific issues include persistent lateness, unprofessional and volatile conduct towards other tradesmen, refusal to complete the job, and a series of hostile and threatening communications- all of this can be evidenced. Timeline of what happened: 19 June 2024 First day of work (having agreed a quote and paid a deposit), started late. 21 June 2024 Canceled visit (on the day). 25 June 2024 Second day of work, started late again. Interim payment for additional costs paid. 26 June 2024 Canceled visit. 27 June 2024 Final day of work, job still incomplete. Aggressively confronted myself and another tradesperson, volatile reaction. Evidence: Contracts and agreements https://pdfhost.io/v/qV8M8vDRC_request An agreement to hang our garden gate, with initial costs. NgUcE_request Statements of account Both myself and my partner, Kate, were witness to Gavin's behaviour. I can also include correspondence with the police who warned Gavin about his behaviour. Expert witness Jamie, an independent tradesperson, was also aggressively confronted by Gavin. He also reviewed the work and has helped me get it to a position where the gate can at least be closed (it had been left still on the ground). 4.
