A cat and planet mouse - Thanos Kalamidas.pdf

Thanos Kalamidas - Sci Fi

https://theoviebooks.wordpress.com/ The universe was indifferent, as it always had been. Stars blinked and burned in distant voids, their ancient light indifferent to the struggles of humanity. Yet, in this vast silence, humanity thrived, relentless, curious, and always yearning for more. It was in this spirit that the star cataloged as XQ-7423 became more than just a point of light on a map. Around it orbited the planet Mouse, a dusty, wind-swept sphere inhabited by the Cefacus, a species whose mysteries challenged everything humanity thought it knew. "Approaching the anomaly," Lieutenant Varro announced, his voice steady but taut with the undercurrent of unease that permeated the control deck. Dr. Andes Falson sat strapped into her chair, her fingers twitching over the terminal embedded in her armrest. The holographic display projected before her eyes buzzed faintly, flickering through streams of data that meant little to anyone but her. "The readings don’t match," she murmured, mostly to herself. Then louder: "Varro, adjust the lateral sensors. We need a clearer image." Thanos Kalamidas, a bilingual multipublished writer, cartoonist and illustrator; born and grew up in a picturesque neighbourhood on the mountainside of Hymettus in Athens, Greece. Then his life took him to Berlin, Germany and to London, UK for studies. After a brief stay in Yorkshire he moved his life to Paris, France while working in Tokyo, Japan and in Cape Town, South Africa. In the last 25 years he became a permanent Scandinavian resident and recently, in his glorious sixth decade, he moved to a scenic village in the Växjö area. Ovi eBook Publishing 2025
